Scholarship Program

The program was temporarily suspended in 2017, and will be revamped in 2018 with some additional scholarship opportunities.

Through The Chamber of St. Matthews Scholarship Program, the Chamber seeks to support higher education by awarding scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have shown and demonstrated commitment to both academic success and community involvement.  A minimum of four (4) scholarships in amounts of up to $1,000 each will be awarded annually.

Scholarship Eligibility

The Chamber of St. Matthews Scholarship Program recognizes at least four high school seniors planning pursue education at a two or four year degree-granting college each year.  Area schools are invited to be a part of this program and are sent a recommendation form.  The scholarship criteria is based on the applicants scholastic achievement, interest in continuing education, participation and leadership in school and community activities as well as their reputation for good citizenship and moral character.

Application Process

Participating member schools are sent a scholarship packet early in the year preceding graduation.  The school then nominates students who fit the criteria of the scholarship, just because a student in nominated does not mean that they will receive the award.

Application Deadline
